The Viktualienmarkt is situated on this area already for 200 years. It had to be moved there from nowadays Marienplatz, due to reasons of space. In former times the booths were assigned to the merchants on a daily basis, nowadays’ booths are permanent features of the market and its unique appearance. Nestled between Heilig-Geist-Kirche (Holy-Ghost-Church), Schrannenhalle and butchers’ row, today’s Viktualienmarkt is another one of Munich’s famous landmarks.
Our partners at the market stalls will have delicious treats ready for you on this very special culinary tour. Together we’ll enjoy the titbits and as a “side order” we will “serve” interesting details all around Viktualienmarkt’s history, originals and traditions.
Numerous treats are waiting for you:
- Hearty food from Bavarian and Franconian sausage eateries
- Savoury titbits made of fresh alpine pasture milk
- Aromatic delicacies from the bakery
- Healthy stuff from Bavarian Oberland
- International treats from our inhabitants from abroad
Munich tastes deliciously – let yourself be surprised!
We cordially invite you, your group and your guests to take part in the uniqueness of Munich’s Viktualienmarkt in this very special way.
We’re looking forward to you!
