Munich – my hometown. Born and raised here, I went to Paris in 2002 having finished my media design studies, not only to improve my French, but to see the world and to explore bohemian life in Montmartre.

My occupational career was versatile: 3 years tourism apprenticeship at Disneyland Resort Paris, 4 years at the online shopping pioneer vente-privee at customers’ service, marketing, responsible for community and content management responsible manager for the website’s German and International market. After almost 10 years in Paris and a 4 month trip to Australia and the United States I, Andrea Grassl decided it was finally time to return back home.

I hadn’t only missed my family and friends, but also Munich’s quality of living, the congeniality of sitting in a beer garden, cycling along the Isar and having a barbecue there and mountains and lakes in the surroundings. I had missed so much more than I had been aware of… not yet realizing I wanted to become a guide for Munich’s guests. Some gastronomic jobs later I finally worked as restaurant and event manager at Hirschau in the English Garden.

You see – I love travelling, approaching people, cultural diversity and new challenges concerning my jobs. That’s why I’m enthusiastic about cooperating as a guide with YourMunichTour.

I would like to show you a totally different point of view on this ever-changing city – Munich the million city with its beautiful small-town character – there is so much more than the famous sights, beer, Oktoberfest and BMW I can show you as a guide. On my tours I want to share with you my joy and emotions I feel and the never ending curiosity to discover and to experience, walking the streets of this 860 years old, history-charged city.

My future challenge will be to compose creative, interesting single topic and city tours for you as your guide, where you will see and hear for sure some things you didn’t know before.
