On the way to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site…

You can book your private Munich Olympic Park tour right here

If Munich really deserves more than one landmark, then there are definitely several here: the Olympic Tower, the Olympic Stadium – the “grande dame” of stadiums in Munich – or perhaps the BMW Four Cylinder? A walk through Munich’s Olympic Park will tell you the history and stories of Munich’s third largest park.

An outdoor tour, when you just want it to be a bit more!

Open land in the 19th century, barracks area, Munich’s first airport Oberwiesenfeld, the BMW company right next door, one of the collection points for the debris of World War II, until the decision was made in 1966:

Munich would host the XX Summer Olympic Games in 1972! What a sensation, what a chance – for Munich, for Bavaria and for Germany! Only six years remained to change the area from wasteland to an area of unique and timeless architecture that so breathtakingly characterizes the image of the north of Munich.

See all the important places

Come with us on an exciting and informative tour! We will visit both: the southern side with the buildings of the Olympic site, and the part north of the Mittlerer Ring with the striking buildings of the BMW company, the Olympic Village and the 1972 Olympic Assassination Memorial, newly built in 2017.

We look forward to seeing you!

Did you know?
The application for the Olympic Park to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site has been underway since 2013. In 2018, the Munich City Council passed the resolution on the application. There is still a long way to go – the Olympic Park would then be Munich’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This, and much more worth knowing you will hear on this guided tour.
