During pre-Christmas season Munich’s city centre is impressing with its atmospheric air. No matter if we look at the lightened Christmas tree in front of the city hall, the festively decorated passages and side alleys, or the contemplative church interiors: they all invite us to come to learn more about this unique place: Munich’s Christmas market.
We are not only strolling between the nostalgically decorated market stalls, but will also discover other places of Munich’s old city centre, which are connected to Christmas. Learn more about the famous “Fatschenkindl”, why the Advent wreath had its problems to become popular in Bavaria and why gingerbread simply is the treat of this season. We’ll show you historic mangers and will get to the bottom of the Christmas tree, as well as its decoration. Of course neither Santa Claus nor court celebrations of the house of Wittelsbach will be missing on this tour.
And if you want to taste pre-Christmas treats in addition to this tour: why don’t you just book our Christmas market tasting tour? Selected market stalls will have culinary pre-Christmas treats in store, ready for you to taste.
